My father has and asthma since he was a child and unfortunately, I inherited it. We would often make jokes that his Vaporizer is the only thing useful that he can leave me to use when he dies. Well, despite from having asthma, I strongly believe that I’m a healthy person. I was a member of our college’s swimming team for two years until I decided to stop to concentrate in my studies. I also wake up early to go jogging in a nearby park and run for about thirty minutes a day in an average speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
Every once in a while, I also go to the gym and do everything to flatten my abdominals. To be honest, my abs is the only problem that I see in my body. Other than that, I’m a completely strong and healthy person. There’s actually no secret behind this because all I do is maintain a good diet, have enough rest and sleep and exercise regularly. I still drink alcohol occasionally but I still make sure that I drink moderately. It’s just a matter of balancing things.
Lately I’ve been going back on the things that happened to me this past year. Some memories made me laugh; some made me smile and some made me asked myself why. What the coming year beholds is uncertain but my heart is full of hope that things will be brighter. Mistakes are a part of life and I did made quite a few but I have learned good lessons from them.
The New Year is coming near and I’m making preparation for changes and these changes are hoped to change me to a better person.
My husband and I are thinking of doing some renovations for our house. We are thinking of extending the space for our rooms as well as repainting the walls too. I also want to put up a room in the attic to serve as our guest room. I would also like to have a new kitchen. That is why I plan to hire a kitchen designer by the end of the month. Selecting a Kitchen Designer is not that hard. There are a lot of good ones, you can even surf the net to hire one. Changing the living room set is also a part of the plan.
The renovations would really cost that much as well as the materials, furnishing and appliances to buy. I know that the money we saved for the renovation won’t be enough so I decided to avail a cash loan which I read from the net. The interest is not that high. It is really to pay. It is automatically deducted from your salary if you want to. The renovation will start next week. It is really of fuss though I am very excited. I want to see our house really good before the season ends.

Vacation - December 26, 2007 -
I was on business trip in Bangkok a week ago with my business partners and colleagues. We were discussing on how to improve the facilities of our cosmetic factory. It was really a hard time, talking about a lot of complicated things and especially those things about money and investments. After the business trip, I felt that I really needed to rest. I was not given opportunities to spend time with my family because of work and stuff. Finally, I decided to file a leave of absence. I really wanted to be with my wife and son since we don’t have that much time to be together.
I am planning to have a week of vacation in our beach house in Miami. I wanted to teach my son how to swim. He is always asking me teach him. He is really quite good at sports. My wife told me that he won first place in a track and field competition. I also want to surprise my wife by giving her a very romantic date along the beach. I know that she would love it. We never had a date since the last three months. I also bought her a set jewelry. She loves pearls a lot. I hope that my plan for the week would make my family happy.
My mom has promised me to give me her car by the middle of next year and I’m so excited about it. The only problem that I have is that I still don’t know how to drive a car. My friend Allen has promised to teach me how to drive for free and we have our first lesson this weekend. As expected, I had a rough start and the engine died on me more than a couple of time. I also scratched his car several time and it was a total embarrassment.
Thank God Allen has good amount of patience and he still wants me to learn how to drive. He thinks that one week of constant practice can already polish my driving skills.
The Gift - December 26, 2007 -
After my class for my business intelligence course, I rushed to the nearest department store to buy my brother a gift. It is his birthday and I almost forgot it. My mom called earlier saying that we will have dinner at a restaurant near the park as a celebration for my brother’s special day. I really had no idea what to buy my brother. I just know that he is recently hooked up with the latest gadgets and video games. He just bought himself a new PSP. My brother plays it all day all night.
Last year, I gave him an iPod video because that was what he wished for his birthday. This year, I wanted to give something special that he would really like. Ever since, He is really not into clothes as well as books. So I decided to give a new digital camera. It isn’t that expensive though it has a very sleek design. After buying the gift I went to the restaurant. We ate a really good meal. I ate lobster and vegetable salad. The feast ended quickly so I decided to give my gift already (He was really expecting that I’ll give him one). As he opened it, he was surprised and said “This is the thing I wished for my birthday. You’re great sis!” It was such a relief that he loved my gift.
My grandmother has never looked this lonely during the Christmas and we completely understand why she feels that way. This is actually the first Christmas that we are spending without my grandfather and everyone is just emotional about it. My mom usually cooks the favorite food of my grandfather and many of us also like them. Unfortunately, we won’t be eating them this year as my mom just can’t cook them anymore.
We can see through my grandmother’s eyes how sad she feels but all we can do is give her a small present and hope that it might cheer her up.
My cousin Edwin and her fiancé just got married last month. They both wanted to live alone together so they decided to rent Tenerife apartments. Edwin’s parents and in-laws agreed as well. The apartment was big enough for the two of them. It has two rooms and the apartment was already furnished. It isn’t that expensive. It fitted their budget well. Their place is also near the law firm where Edwin works. It has a very good location. It is close to a hospital and a fire station. And at the back of the apartment is a grocery store.
I envy them because I always wanted to have my own place. My father won’t permit me for I am his only daughter. He is really overprotected. He always wanted me to stay close to him. My mother’s different. She said that I can go on my own if I want to. My mom said that he would help me convince my father. After a few weeks of endless pleading my father agreed. Finally, I am having my own apartment. I am planning to have my place a bit far from my parents’ house to feel a bit more of my independence.
Sorry Miss - December 26, 2007 -
Akon is probably one of the most famous singing artists in the music industry today and I’m dying to watch him perform live. Last month, my most awaited event happened and I was jumping with excitement. Unfortunately, a small family problem occurred and I had to skip seeing it. This event rarely happens and it really broke my heart missing it. Well, I should just probably wait for another opportunity instead of feeling depressed about it.
For now, all I can do is read about him in his official website and listen to his songs over and over again.
